Sourship Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated:
1. About this policy
This policy explains when you can get money back from Sourship and how. It forms part of the Sourship Terms of Service. Sourship is operated by sourship LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (filing ID 2024-001567276), 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
Terms such as “Seller”, “Service”, “credits” and “wallet” have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
Send every refund or return request with the evidence we need to check it, such as your order ID, photos or videos. We may refuse requests that are fraudulent, abusive or outside this policy.
2. Applications that are not approved
When you choose a plan and submit your application, your card payment is authorised but not charged. If your application is not approved, the authorisation is released and you are not charged. Your bank decides how quickly the held amount becomes available again.
3. Subscriptions
No automatic renewal. Sourship subscriptions do not renew automatically. We will remind you before your plan ends, and you renew by paying for a new period. If you do not renew, your plan simply ends.
Cancelling. Because plans do not renew, you do not need to cancel. If you want to stop using Sourship before your plan ends, see “7-day refund” below or contact us to close your account.
7-day refund. You may request a full refund of your subscription fee within 7 days of the date your application was approved, provided that during that time you have not used any sourcing credits and have not purchased any inventory through Sourship. Refunds are made to the card used to pay. Where a subscription period was paid from your wallet, the refund is credited to your wallet.
After 7 days, or once used. After the 7-day period, or once you have used any credit or purchased any inventory, subscription fees are non-refundable, including for any unused part of the plan period.
4. Sourcing credits
Plan credits. Credits included with your plan are available for the plan period in which they are issued. They reset at the start of each monthly period and unused plan credits do not carry over.
Purchased credits. Credits you buy separately do not expire, and remain in your account if your subscription ends. Purchased credits are non-refundable once bought.
Order of use. Plan credits are always used before purchased credits.
5. Wallet balance
Topping up. You pay for inventory, orders and other services from your Sourship wallet. You can add funds by transfer to Sourship’s business accounts at Mercury, Wise or Payoneer, using the details shown in your dashboard. Funds are credited once received.
Use. Wallet funds can be used only for Sourship services. They cannot be transferred to other users.
Withdrawing unused balance. You may ask us at any time to return your unused wallet balance by contacting support@sourship.com. We will:
- return it only to the account the funds were originally sent from;
- deduct only the actual transfer cost charged by our bank or payment provider for sending it, and no other fee; and
- complete the request within 30 days of receiving it. Many requests are completed sooner, but timing depends on the payment provider and the checks involved.
We may need to confirm your identity or complete sanctions checks before releasing funds. Amounts owed to Sourship at that time are deducted first.
Where refunds go. Refunds for products and shipping under sections 6 to 8, and any surplus from the sale of abandoned inventory under the Terms of Service, are credited to your wallet, where you can spend or withdraw them.
Your balance is always yours. Sourship does not charge inactivity fees and never keeps a wallet balance because an account is inactive.
Inactive accounts. Your account is inactive if, for 12 months, you have not logged in, topped up, placed an order, or contacted us. If your inactive account holds a balance, we will remind you by email and WhatsApp at that point and at least once a year after that. Any activity by you makes the account active again.
Unclaimed balances. If a balance stays unclaimed for the period set by applicable unclaimed-property law, we will send a final notice to your registered email and, if you still do not respond, transfer the balance to the relevant state unclaimed-property office, as the law requires. You can then claim it from that office. Until that transfer, you can withdraw your balance from us at any time under this section.
6. Problems found at inspection
We inspect products when they arrive, against the 1688 or Taobao listing, for the correct item, colour, size, quantity and visible defects.
If a product does not match or is defective, we notify you with photos. You choose:
- replacement — we return the product to the supplier and obtain a correct one; or
- refund — we return the product to the supplier and credit the price you paid to your wallet.
You pay nothing for supplier errors caught at inspection. Inspection covers condition and match to the listing. It does not verify whether a product is genuine (see section 9).
6A. Returning products to suppliers
Supplier errors. Wrong or defective products found at our inspection are handled under section 6, at no cost to you. We deal with the supplier directly.
Change of mind. If you no longer want a product you purchased through Sourship, you must tell us within 7 days of the date you placed the purchase order, as shown in your dashboard. After that, products cannot be returned to the supplier and are not refundable.
If you request a change-of-mind return in time:
- return shipping to the supplier and any fees the supplier charges are paid by you;
- we credit your wallet with the amount the supplier refunds, once we receive it; and
- some suppliers do not accept change-of-mind returns. If the supplier refuses, the product stays in your inventory.
Custom, personalised or modified products cannot be returned for a change of mind.
7. Parcels lost in transit
When a parcel counts as lost. You are responsible for monitoring tracking for your orders. If a parcel shows no delivery 30 days after it was shipped, you may report it to us as lost.
What you can choose. Once we confirm the parcel is lost, you choose:
- full refund — the full price you paid through Sourship for the product, including the supplier’s local shipping, plus the Sourship shipping rate you paid, credited to your wallet; or
- free reship — we purchase and ship the same product again at no charge, with new tracking.
Exclusions. Sections 7 and 8 do not apply where:
- the parcel was seized, destroyed or refused by customs because of its contents, including counterfeit, infringing, restricted or prohibited goods (see section 9);
- the address or customs information you provided was wrong or incomplete;
- you chose a duties-unpaid shipment and the recipient refused to pay charges or refused the parcel; or
- tracking shows the parcel as delivered.
8. Wrong items shipped
- Our mistake. If we ship the wrong item or the wrong quantity, you choose a refund to your wallet or a reship, at our cost.
- Your mistake. If you selected, ordered or asked us to ship the wrong item, the cost of correcting it is yours.
9. Customs seizures and prohibited goods
You are responsible for ensuring every product you source and sell through Sourship is genuine or authorised and lawful to import in its destination country, as set out in the Acceptable Use and Prohibited Products Policy.
Products or shipments seized, destroyed or refused because they are counterfeit, infringe intellectual property rights, or are restricted or prohibited are not refunded or reshipped, including the product price and the shipping rate.
10. Returns from your customers
Sourship does not currently provide return addresses outside China. If your customer returns an item, the only return option is to our facility in China, at the sender’s cost. Sourship does not pay for return shipping. You should set your own store’s return policy with this in mind.
Parcels sent into China are often delayed or refused by Chinese customs. To give a return the best chance of entering, you must provide the product and customs information we ask for. Sourship is not responsible for returns that are delayed, refused or lost before they reach our facility.
Tell us before a return is sent, with its tracking number. A parcel that arrives without notice may be recorded as unknown, and it may not be possible to recover it.
Returns that reach our facility are inspected and, if in resaleable condition, added back to your inventory.
11. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. If you open a chargeback for a payment that is not refundable under this policy, or while we are handling your request, we may suspend your account until it is resolved.
12. Your legal rights
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and use Sourship for purposes outside your trade or profession, you may have rights under consumer law that this policy cannot exclude. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
